The concert will be held in the performance space within studio 88. One of the most beautiful acoustic spaces in Nelson, this room has exceptional sound with a large reverberant room designed specifically for music. The room will be lit with over 160 candles for the performance.
Natasha Hall
Canadian violinist Natasha Hall has performed throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. She has appeared as a soloist with the Oxford Sinfonia, City Chamber Ensemble (London UK), Battersea Ensemble (London UK), Calgary Civic Symphony, Symphony of the Kootenays, and the Carnegie Mellon University Baroque Ensemble. She spent the last decade based in London UK and is a member of the English Chamber Orchestra.
She has performed regularly with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Northern Sinfonia, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, and the Aurora Orchestra.
Adrian Wagner
Adrian studied Jazz Piano and improvisation in New York City, and in Boston at the Berkley College of music. He has performed in numerous projects, spending 2 years touring across Canada as the keyboardist for the Wassabi Collective. His music studies also brought him to Zimbabwe, where he spent 6 months playing traditional mbira music and writing a thesis on improvisation within Shona culture.
In the Kootenays, Adrian has performed at the Capitol Theatre, Kaszlo Jazz Fest, and Shambala. His shows are a diverse mix of music genres from around the globe. Improvisationally based, his roots in jazz and classical music often emerge at the forefront.
